Wet Sounds Not Pet Sounds
In yet another crazy venture from web 2.0, social networking and music recommendation site last.fm, people in the UK will be able to enjoy the sound of music at their local lido. Kicking things off on the 6th July at London Fields lido in Hackney, London, between 3pm and 5pm members of the public will be able to enjoy music pumped straight into the pool via underwater speakers. The opening event is free to anyone and will present a gallery of sounds from artists around the world.
After this the “Wet Sound Tour” will kick off and visit a lido near you: Brighton, Bath, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Carlisle, Edinburgh, and Nairn, before returning to the London Fields lido for the closing event which, with tickets selling at £16.50 a pop will include live music from Nurse With Wound and Andrew Liles.
