Dear Ravi you can index sites using Sphider +,
but the problem is that there are several bugs in this application-
e.g-
very slow crowling rate,
extra resource utilization
error in indexing etc</description>

Unless there has been an update since I wrote this then no, but nothing would stop you writing a script to generate the necessary records in the Sphider DB to allow it to produce the results as required by a search.  Hope this helps.  might make for an interesting article :)</description>
