Record Share Combine with Gawker
Ever wanted to make a stop motion movie in which you were the subject? Well now with Gawker, the time-lapse application that makes movies with your web cam, you can, and with the tagline “Let your computer do the gawking.” it doesn’t leave much to the imagination Other benefits of Gawker include the fact that your image stream can be shared and recorded by other users, for the voyeur in you, whilst 4 streams can be recorded side-by-side.
I cam across Gawker as a result of a friend who put together his working day (8 hours) into a 40 second clip, which he then posted on vimeo. As an aside, I think it would be cool to create an entire city of working days and piece them together in a cool mosaic.
Anyhow, the software isn’t quite at full version 1.0 yet, but it works with little hiccup and run on Mac OSX 10.4 (Tiger) and above on intel-based Apple Macs.
